Dani Comas got the first place in the Trial UCI European Cup, hold in the italian village called Biella. It was a very fighted competition, where Dani Comas was pursued closely by his two main opponents in all moment. He tried to keep calm and got the first place. Very good start of 2011 season for Dani Comas and his 221 Kamel.
Mireia Abant got the third place, geeting the bronze medal. Gemma failed in two consecutive sections and was impossible for her to reach the podium in this event.
On the other hand, the 1st round of the UCI World Cup was held in Champvent (Switzerland). Dani Comas didn´t get a got result, 3rd place, because a mistake of his team when they didn´t calculate the total time of the race correctly. He got a penalty score that was added to his race score. Bad luck for our rider in this race.
Gemma Abant got the second place in this race. She made a good race, starting with some mistakes but making an awesome riding in the final lap. Mireia Abant was the 5th classificated.
Next weekend, on july, 2nd and 3rd, will be held the second round of this World Cup in Val d´Isere (France). There, our riders will have another opportunity to get a good result. |
